What Customers Have to Say About Working with
Unique Auto Concepts
We had our windows tinted about a year ago on my Toyota Tacoma and my wife’s Ford Explorer. It only took about an hour for each vehicle, the quality was great and the price was too. A year later it’s still in perfect shape. We plan to have our new rav4 windows tinted here soon as well. I Highly recommend this place!

My second car done by these guys and I'll continue to always bring it to this place. Best experience & nicest crew. Can't beat the price too!

I work at a premier dealership and we use Travis for our window tinting. Every job he has done has been perfect. Not a lot of window tinters take the time to ensure that their work was truly quality but [Unique Auto Concepts] always takes the steps to make the job just right. High quality materials and always a quick turn around.

Window Tinting Installation FAQ
What brands do you use for window tinting?
We only use SolarFX® window film, which offers a neutral black smoke tint whose color doesn’t fade or change over time. We only use brands we trust, and SolarFX® is just that. We offer three series of SolarFX® window film, one which is Carbon-based and two that are Ceramic-based.
How much does tint installation cost?
While we don’t give prices online, we can say that there are a couple key factors to consider:
Material selection. There is a range of window tinting which is available. At Unique Auto Concepts, we use only brands and methods that we are confident in standing behind, which means that you won’t pay bottom-rate prices – you get what you pay for.
Complexity of the job. Some vehicles may have more windows, difficult window seals, and curvature of glass can make installs more complex and require more time, which means the cost will increase.
What is the darkest legal tint?
5% is the darkest tint you can get, and is typically too dark per state and local laws. Oregon legal limit is 35% VLT. At Unique Auto Concepts, we have displays in our showroom that can show you what the tinting will look like before you install it, and work with you to make sure your investment doesn’t break any laws.
How long do you have to wait to roll down windows after tint?
Window tint needs time to become properly affixed to the glass surface, usually it takes about 72 hours. During this time, it’s best to leave your windows up or it can lift and peel the film off the glass and is not covered under warranty.
Are tinted windows worth it?
Tinted windows offer several benefits, including
Glare and UV Reduction
If those are things that are worth it to you, then tinted windows are worth it.
Can you install tint yourself?
Yes, you can. There are plenty of kits available, but there’s also a reason people come to professionals to get their windows tinted. To put it briefly: our Installs turn out better. We use better film and we have experience that no set of instructions can give you. If you want a quick and cheap tint, DIY can be a good option. If you want a quality job that will last, go to Happy Valley, OR and get your vehicle's window tint installation from Unique Auto Concepts.
Do you apply window tint on the inside or outside?
Even though you see us shrink film on the outside, window tint gets installed on the inside of the glass.
Are SolarFX® window films guaranteed?
We stand behind our products with a factory-backed warranty. Our high-performance films are proudly made in the USA from globally sourced materials by SolarFX®, a respected industry leader known for innovative and technology-based solutions. SolarFX® window films carry one of the best factory-backed Lifetime warranties in the industry. Ask your dealer for details.
Do lighter window films provide the same benefits as darker films?
Window film doesn't have to be dark to provide benefits like solar heat reduction, glare reduction and ultraviolet (UV) protection. In fact, some darker films are dyed polyester that simply provide greater privacy. SolarFX® offers a wide range of window film shades for automotive applications, giving you options that best suit your needs.
Will my window film bubble or turn purple?
Purple, bubbling film is a sign of a very low-grade window film whose mounting adhesive and dye components have broken down. SolarFX® films are warrantied against this, using more stable and advanced dye chemistries and/or permanent carbon or ceramic layers that do not discolor over time.
How long does it take to tint my car and what is the process?
Typically, it takes a two to three hours to have your entire vehicle tinted. Window glass is cleaned thoroughly first, to remove debris. Tint is trimmed precisely to fit your exact make and model. No harsh chemicals are used, only water-activated adhesives.
What is the difference between carbon and ceramic tint?
Both carbon and ceramic tint provide 99% UV protection, heat rejection, enhance style, improve privacy, and reduce glare. When compared to the premium carbon tint, ceramic tint has superior infrared (IR) heat rejection, higher scratch resistance, and more clarity.
